Technology has made the world's cultures and traditions so much more accessible and learning about them extremely interactive.
NORAD Tracks Santa has been around for a few years, but the past few years has allowed integration with interactive technologies such as Google Earth. Check out their website , like their page on Facebook or Google+, or even follow them on Twitter to use activities with your students and children. You can even track him on your mobile phone. I usually leave the website running on my computer on Christmas Eve just to keep an eye on the big guy!
Another interesting site is this online Advent Calendar which allows students to learn about different traditions at this time of the year and provides links to many other online activities as well.
